Come Along on my Adventure

Hi Lovelies!

It’s been quite a while since I’ve made a post soley dedicated to you, my readers, and I felt like I was due for a new introduction… So if you haven’t been following me for too long, here are a few things about me.

My name is Madeline, but I go by Maddie for short. As a child I never liked the name Madeline because I thought it was too “sophisticated” and grown up for me, but as I’ve gotten older I don’t mind it as much, and have no preference as to which name I like to be called. I am the daughter of two sweet parents, Jon and Michelle, and I have a sister who is three years older than me named Olivia. But I’ve always called her “Sis”. As youngsters, we were constantly together, and as we grew up, we also grew closer. I’m not sure if it’s a normality for all siblings, but I can definitely say that I have spent more time with my sister than any other person in my life, and we almost know each other a little too well. ha.

I am sixteen years old, and a senior in high school. Yes, I am very young for my grade.

I have attended the same (very small) private school in my home town for the entirety of my life. I have also lived in the same home my whole life in a valley in the beautiful state of Oregon (which has now been taken over by pot growers).

When I was around ten years old I began a baking blog where I posted about the many sweet treats I made. After less than a year my posts became less and less frequent, boredom set in and I abandoned my once loved writing space. (One thing you’ll learn about me is that I’m not the greatest at being consistent and sticking with things for prolonged amounts of time).

Fast forward to October of 2014 when I created this quirky diary of my awkward life, Moody Madeline. I won’t go tooting my own horn saying how great and consistent I’ve been at posting on here, because trust me, I’ve taken some long breaks, but I will say that I’m proud of how long I’ve continued to use this blog to express my creative side and the progress I’ve made. If you asked me three years ago what I wanted my profession to be when I “grow up”, I would have never thought to answer “blogging”, but now I know it’s an option.

I also eat a diet that consists of veganism + meat, as I like to put it, so I don’t eat dairy or eggs. Gltuen free and refined sugar free (but no fake sweeteners!). Yes, I eat this way by choice, but mostly for the sake of my acne-prone skin, and also because, after a year of eating this way, I’ve realized that it makes me happiest and makes my body even happier. Occasionally, I will share recipes that follow my diet, but still taste yummy with you all.

A few things I love….

Filming short videos, montages and outings.

Editing short videos, montages and outings.

Cooking and baking yummy healthy food.

Going out to breakfast with good company.

Watching creative youtube videos- my favorite is CamandNina.

Swimming/surfing in the ocean.

Spending time in Hawaii.

Instagraming.

Giggling with friends and family.

Writing.

Listening to the radio while driving on long windy backroads.

Soaking up warm sunshine.

Now that my boring introduction is out of the way, I want to get to know you!

I have a few platforms where we can connect on, but of course my blog is the easiest way. I always love hearing your questions, comments and feedback on my posts, and the best way to leave me a note is in the comments.

One of my resolutions for 2017 is to get to know my readers on a more personal level- What’s your name? Like’s and dislike’s? Where do you live? (In a non-creeperish was of course). Do you eat a special way? What are your favorite clothing or beauty brands? What do you want me to post more of? Can I pray for you?

I would be thrilled if I could connect with even just five of my beautiful readers, so let’s see what we can do this year!

Want to follow me on Instagram? I’d love to follow you back and see what you’re up to!

xoxo
