I have never been good at interior design.
It’s actually turned into a running joke between me, my mom and sister, because for some reason I have always struggled in this forte.
Ever since I was little I’ve loved all things style when it comes to clothing or accessories, and I consider myself a pretty creative girl… but when it came to decorating my bedroom I had a mental style block and used to find interior design overwhelming.
So for the first time in literally eighteen years, aka my whole life, this is the very first time my room is exactly decorated how I want it (give or take a couple things). I’ve taken inspiration from a variety of places, mostly instagram’s “explore” page, and I’m really happy with how everything has turned out. I incorporated some vintages pieces as well as more modern, minimalist accents which all came together for a cozy, inviting style.
Before…
After…
One of my favorites pieces is this thrifted vintage blanket that I used as an area rug… I don’t know if people do that, or if it’s weird, but all I know is that I like the way it looks. I really think it ties my room together.]
I am on the lookout for a new pendant light for my ceiling because mine is ghetto… so if you know of a good one please let me know!
